CU Physics Professor Ivan Smalyukh and His Team Receive a Guinness Book of World Records Award for Most Transparent Material – Building Energy Smart Technologies (BEST)

Congratulations to Prof. Ivan Smalyukh for being awarded a world record for creating the “World’s Most Transparent Material”! Prof. Smalyukh is a BEST Center faculty member and expert in soft condensed matter physics at the University of Colorado Boulder. We’re excited that Prof. Smalyukh will be continuing to progress the field of transparent insulating materials with his FY24-25 BEST Center project titled “Enhancing Thermal Energy Harvesting and Storage using Monolithic Mesoporous Metamaterials (MMMs) and Phase Change Materials (PCMs)”.
